By The Numbers: UFC 315 Pre-Fight Edition

Belal Muhammad will defend the Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight crown for the first time when he takes on Jack Della Maddalena in the UFC 315 headliner this Saturday at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Meanwhile, Valentina Shevchenko puts her women’s flyweight title on the line against Manon Fiorot in the five-round co-main event at 125 pounds.

Ahead of UFC 315 “Muhammad vs. Della Maddalena,” a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the docket bring to the table:

13: Consecutive calendar years in which Muhammad has fought at least once. He went 2-0 in 2012, 2-0 in 2013, 2-0 in 2014, 2-0 in 2015, 2-2 in 2016, 3-0 in 2017, 1-0 in 2018, 2-1 in 2019, 1-0 in 2020, 3-0 with one no contest in 2021, 2-0 in 2022, 1-0 in 2023 and 1-0 in 2024.

12: Della Maddalena wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 71% of his career total (17). His list of UFC victims: Gilbert Burns, Danny Roberts, Ramazan Emeev and Pete Rodriguez.

38: Years of age for Jose Aldo. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born on Sept. 9, 1986 in Manaus, Brazil. Aldo faces Aiemann Zahabi in a three-round bantamweight showcase.

109: Significant strikes landed by Zahabi in his unanimous decision over ex-Resurrection Fighting Alliance champion Pedro Munhoz at UFC Fight Night 246 on Nov. 2. It established a new personal high-water mark for the Tristar Gym mainstay.

58: Rounds started by Alexa Grasso as a professional mixed martial artist. She has gone the distance on 14 different occasions and carries a 10-3-1 record in those bouts. Grasso toes the line against Natalia Silva in a three-round women’s flyweight attraction.

2,703: Days between Silva and her most recent defeat. The former Jungle Fight titleholder lost a unanimous decision to Marina Rodriguez under the Thunder Fight banner on Dec. 16, 2017. Silva holds a perfect 12-0 mark since.

9: Benoit St. Denis victories by submission, accounting for 69% of his career total (13). His methods of choice: two guillotine chokes, two rear-naked chokes, two arm-triangle chokes, one armbar, one kneebar and one face crank. St. Denis puts Kyle Prepolec to the test in a three-round lightweight appetizer.

30: Seconds needed for Prepolec to put away Justin Potter with punches at a Fighting Spirit MMA show on Oct. 18, 2008. More than 16 years later, it remains his fastest finish to date.

27: Years of age for City Kickboxing prospect Navajo Stirling. The youngest fighter on the card, he was born on Nov. 7, 1997 in Upper Hutt, New Zealand. Stirling confronts Ivan Erslan in a three-round light heavyweight prelim.

.771: Cumulative winning percentage between the 24 fighters slated to compete at the event. They boast a combined record of 389-114-5. Aldo owns the most wins (32) of anyone on the card, while Jessica Andrade has been saddled with the most losses (13). Andrade meets Jasmine Jasudavicius in a three-round women’s strawweight prelim.
